When writing for  shamshekhan.com, it is important to understand that for whom you are writing. In another word” you need to be clear about the blog readers/audience and they will learn from the content you submit.

Most of the visitors who read my blog at shamsherkhan.com are freelancers, startup people, entrepreneurs and working professionals who want to become a freelancer or entrepreneurs to business who want to promote their business using digital marketing.
They’re busy people looking for shortcuts, tips, tricks and information that will help them start, build, or grow a business.

Content & Topic

Your article/post should be related to one of the topics mentioned below. it must help people start, build, manage or grow their business or career as a freelancer:

  • Freelancing / Startup
  • SEO/PPC/Social Media
  • Blogging & Email Marketing
  • Productivity / Time Management
  • Teaching a New Skill (ex: How to…)
  • Online Business / Entrepreneurship
  • Digital Branding / Online Marketing
  • Tools, Tips, Resources and Hacks

Article Guidelines:

You may not publish same article/post anywhere else, including your own blog or website.

You can add up to three (3) external links: one for your blog/website, one in the author bio, one link to a cited resource anywhere within article content.

Your post should be at least 600 words or in between 600 to  1200 words in length.

If I publish your guest post with your author credit, you must be ready to drive and respond to any and all readers comments.

If you would interested to submit a guest post, follow the instructions below for consideration.  Only guest posts that meet these criteria will be considered for publishing.

  • The post must be useful to the readers of this blog.
  • The post must be grammatically correct and well-written.
  • The post must not include marketing-related links and must not be entirely self-promotional.
  • The post may include links to your website and blog in a brief author’s bio (approximately 3 sentences), which will be published at the end of the guest post but not promotional link.
  • Guest posts must be original and may not have been published elsewhere online already.  All submissions will be verified for originality using a tool such as Copyscape.com or Plagium.com.

Guest posts that are approved for publishing will be published without notice.  Please check the blog periodically to see if your post has been published.  Due to the high volume of guest posts this blog receives, messages following up on the status of a guest post submission may not be responded to sometime.

 

You should also share that post on your social media. I will promote it as well.

  • You will need to provide an image for your post. The image should be at least 780px wide and 330px tall.  NOTE: You must own the rights to use the image OR mentioned source URL /Credit for the image you provide.

Proofreading & Editing

  • After writing, run a grammar check for your article. You can use [Grammarly Free] to check grammar & spelling mistakes.
  • After grammar check, run your error-free post through the HemingwayApp (it is also free). Look for a min 6th grade and minimal amount of “hard to read, adverb, passive voice” errors in your article.
  • I will review your article/post for grammar, spelling, punctuation and other reading errors.   If I make any major changes, I will email updated article back to you for your approval before publishing.
  • I may add a short introduction or conclusion to your content to provide context or the grounds as to why I think the post is important for the readers.

Disclaimer: I understand the value and amount of time and effort it takes to write a blog post. The only guest posts I will publish are those which meet my guidelines and the ones I feel will be interesting and beneficial to my readers.

In case your article is not accepted, you may request a brief explanation, but, unless otherwise requested, I won’t provide any details as to why your guest post is rejected.
